Silverlining Press, an offspring of Silverlining Designs, is a small publishing company nestled in the hills behind Talent, Oregon. My roots are in graphic design, creative writing and editing. I moved to Mount Shasta, California in 1997, where I'd planned on focusing on my writing, and working at a thriving graphic design firm called Quicksilver Productions. When the owner and my good friend, Dana Conant, left the planet in an explosion of glittering silver shards and flying car parts, there were a number of clients with works in progress. I quickly resurrected the company and renamed it Silverlining Designs.
I began working with several local self-publishers. They enjoyed the amount of control they had during the process: a cover they’d approved and sometimes even helped design, with interior formatting that was original and captivating. Each project became a deeply personal expression of the written piece they’d spent so much time and effort to create.
When I moved up to southern Oregon I finally admitted that helping other writers bring well-designed books to market was my passion.
